While waiting for warmer weather and longer days to return, to start riding outside again in the evenings, there is a great opportunity to serve those less fortunate in our community. Your Sorella sister, Kathy Masters, is a Volunteer Coordinator for Food for the Bashor Men’s Homeless Shelter (formerly known as the Central Night Shelter), which serves the needs of 90-100 homeless men in downtown Atlanta from November 1 through March 31, seven nights a week. This is an all-volunteer organization, and she works diligently to coordinate volunteers and make sure that the shelter guests have a hot meal each night, as well as breakfast bags and lunches.
Please consider donating a couple hours of your time (6:00 pm to 8:00 pm) to join her in serving a hot meal to the shelter guests. She could use 2-4 volunteers each evening to help heat up and serve food that will be provided by the shelter, and minor clean up after the meal is served. Sorella fellas are welcome to join too. The time goes quickly and the men are always very appreciative.
